today i drove erin down to boston for some nursing career fair. she was kind of hella nervous. i walked around, picked up an animal collective record, and got some coffee at shane's work while he was there. i read more of my book about china. later, we met my dad for lunch near his work in woburn at this chinese place. we talked to this dude that worked there about tiananmen square and how he was there. its really crazy. there is so much stuff going on in the world. so much hardship. so much sadness. so much death. it boggles my brain that the only trouble a boy from new hampshire might have to worry about is getting too drunk and falling off a balacony, an accident which occured to friend of a friend of my sister's. i want to save the world. from everything. or at least from something. anything.
